Telnyx MCP
Send SMS, place calls and manage phone numbers through the Telnyx API from Claude.
Officialby TelnyxHosted or on your computerChecked October 18, 2026
Telnyx's hosted MCP server lets Claude discover and call any Telnyx API endpoint, which covers messaging, voice calls, phone numbers, verification and AI assistants. Claude looks up an endpoint, reads its schema and then invokes it, and Telnyx also ships small MCP apps for number lookups, usage costs and voice monitoring.
Who it is for
- Developers building SMS and voice features
- Telecom and ops teams managing numbers and usage
- Startups prototyping phone or text bots
Prompts to try
Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.
List my Telnyx phone numbers and show which ones have messaging enabled.Send a test SMS from my main Telnyx number to +15555550123 saying the deploy finished.Show this month's usage and cost broken down by product. How to connect it
In Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http telnyx https://api.telnyx.com/v2/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TELNYX_API_KEY"
In the Claude desktop app

Good to know
Calls act on your live account and some are billable; a local version runs with npx -y telnyx-mcp.

How we checked it
Checked Telnyx's remote MCP docs and server card, the team-telnyx/ai repo (MIT, last commit 2026-10-05) and the telnyx-mcp npm package (7.26.0, 2026-10-14); the hosted endpoint lists its tools publicly and tool calls need a Telnyx API key or OAuth token.
