AI Marketing Tools (2026): 19 Picks by Job, With Prices
Most small businesses need one AI writing assistant plus the AI already built into the tools they run: Claude or ChatGPT ($20 a month) for copy, Canva's free plan for images, Buffer (free for 3 channels) for scheduling, Klaviyo or Mailchimp (from $20) for email, and the AI inside Meta and Google Ads, which costs nothing beyond the ads. Every price was read on the vendor's own pricing page on October 27, 2026.

The best AI marketing tools are the ones built for the marketing job you do every week, and for a small business that usually means one writing assistant plus the AI already inside your email, scheduling and ad tools. Below are 19 AI tools for marketing sorted by job: copy, design, video, email, social scheduling, the ad platforms' own AI and analytics. Each has its free plan, the cheapest paid plan that includes the AI feature with its billing basis, what the AI does and who it suits, all checked on October 27, 2026.
How we checked these AI tools for marketing
There is no best AI for marketing in general, only a best tool for each job, so we picked 19 tools by marketing job and read each vendor's pricing page in a fresh headless browser with no account. For every tool we wrote down four things: the free plan, the cheapest paid plan that includes the AI feature, what that AI actually does, and who it suits. The numbers in each table are a group order, not a rank.
Four pages needed care. chatgpt.com showed us shekels from Israel, so ChatGPT's US prices come from OpenAI's own pricing docs. Adobe showed only shekels (NIS), so its price stays in NIS, as shown. Canva showed US dollars on the first visit and a Cloudflare human check on the second, which we didn't solve, so only Canva's yearly price is confirmed. CapCut is left out: its page says the displayed pricing is for reference only until you sign in.

AI tools for marketing copy and ad text
A general AI assistant writes most marketing copy well, and the marketing-only tools add brand voice controls and team features on top. Here are the five writing tools, priced on monthly billing unless noted.
| # | Tool | Free plan | Cheapest paid plan with the AI | What the AI does | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ChatGPT | Yes | Go $8 a month; Plus $20 | Drafts ads, emails and posts in a chat; Go may show ads | Fast first drafts |
| 2 | Claude | Yes | Pro $20 a month, or $17 a month billed yearly ($200) | Writes and edits long copy; Pro includes Claude Code | Brand-voice copy and the do-it-yourself jobs below |
| 3 | Gemini | Yes | Google AI Plus $4.99 a month (US page) | Gemini inside Gmail and Vids; AI Pro ($19.99) also lists Docs | Teams that live in Gmail |
| 4 | Jasper | No, a 7-day trial | Pro $69 a seat a month, or $59 billed yearly | 2 brand voices, 5 knowledge assets, 3 audiences and agents for marketing workflows | A marketer who wants brand guardrails |
| 5 | Copy.ai | None listed | Chat $29 a month billed monthly, for 5 seats | Unlimited words in Chat with OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models | A small team sharing one chat tool |
Paying month to month, the writing tools line up like this:
From each vendor's page on October 27, 2026; ChatGPT from OpenAI's pricing docs, Gemini from Google's US plans page. Yearly billing lowers Claude to $17 and Jasper to $59.
AI for marketing design and social images
For social posts and ad images, the AI inside a design tool is usually a better fit than a raw image model, because it works with your templates, brand kit and sizes. If you need the image models themselves, see our test of the best AI image generators.
| # | Tool | Free plan | Cheapest paid plan with the AI | What the AI does | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | Canva | Yes, up to 20 AI uses | Pro US$120 a year for one person (the yearly price we saw) | Resize, translate, remove background and AI ad creation, with 10x the AI of Free | Social posts and ad images without a designer |
| 7 | Adobe Express | Yes, with limited generative credits | Premium NIS 35.00 a month billed monthly, as shown in Israel | 250 generative credits a month, one-click resize and brand kits | Teams already on Adobe |
Canva Free also lists ad insights and AI ad creation, so try that before you pay. Adobe's page showed us shekels, so check the price for your country there.
AI video tools for marketing
Video tools split into three jobs: editing what you filmed, making a presenter you didn't film, and generating ad clips with AI models. Our guides on how to make AI videos and how to make AI UGC ads walk through the workflows.
| # | Tool | Free plan | Cheapest paid plan with the AI | What the AI does | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | Descript | Yes: 1 hour of media a month, 100 AI credits once | Hobbyist $24 a person a month, or $16 billed yearly | Underlord, an AI co-editor, plus Studio Sound, Remove Filler Words and Create Clips; 400 AI credits a month | Editing talking-head video into clips |
| 9 | HeyGen | Yes: 3 watermarked videos a month, up to 1 minute | Creator $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly ($288) | AI avatars and voices, a custom avatar of you, 175+ languages and dialects, 600 credits | Presenter videos without filming |
| 10 | Higgsfield | No free plan card | Starter $19 a month billed annually; the page says it's no different from monthly | Image and video models in one place, 270 credits a month, 10 free Ads Studio generations | UGC-style ads and product visuals |
Yearly billing changes these prices more than you might expect. On Descript's page, switching from Monthly to Annual drops Hobbyist from $24 to $16, Creator from $35 to $24 and Business from $65 to $50 a person a month:
Descript's pricing page switched from Monthly to Annual on October 27, 2026: Hobbyist goes from $24 to $16, Creator from $35 to $24 and Business from $65 to $50 per person a month, Enterprise stays custom, and the note changes to saving up to 35% over the monthly plan
AI email marketing tools: Mailchimp, Klaviyo and HubSpot
In email, the AI lives inside the platform that sends your mail, so pick the platform first. All three have free plans, and the bigger AI features sit on paid ones: Mailchimp's generative AI from Standard, Klaviyo's generative AI for content and flows on paid plans, and HubSpot's Content Agent from Professional.
| # | Tool | Free plan | Cheapest paid plan with the AI | What the AI does | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 11 | Mailchimp | Yes, under 250 contacts | Standard from $20 a month for up to 500 contacts and 6,000 emails | Generative AI features at no added cost on Standard and Premium, plus Intuit Assist (beta, for some users, English only) | Newsletters and simple automations |
| 12 | Klaviyo | Yes: 250 active profiles, 500 sends a month, AI subject lines | Email from $20 a month for 500 profiles and 5,000 emails | Paid plans add generative AI for segments, content, flows and images, and predictive analytics | Online stores |
| 13 | HubSpot | Yes: Breeze Assistant, up to 2 users | Starter $10 a seat a month (a limited-time price); Content Agent from Professional at $100 a seat | Content Agent writes on-brand content; Nurture Agent personalizes nurture emails | CRM and email in one place |
HubSpot's prices drop with yearly billing (Starter $7, Professional $90 a seat), and both Starter figures are marked as limited-time discounts. Klaviyo's AI agent, Composer, gets $5 of usage a month free and costs $20 a month to add.
Social media scheduling with AI: Buffer, Later and Hootsuite
Schedulers now draft captions too, so the real differences are price per channel and how many profiles you manage. If you want posts written and published for you on a schedule, see how to automate social media posts with AI.
| # | Tool | Free plan | Cheapest paid plan with the AI | What the AI does | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14 | Buffer | Yes: 3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel | Essentials $6 a channel a month, or $5 billed yearly ($60) | AI Assistant on every plan, Free included | Solo owners |
| 15 | Later | No, a 14-day trial | Starter $25 a month, or $18.75 billed yearly | AI content tools with 5 AI credits a month (Growth: 50) | Instagram, TikTok and link in bio |
| 16 | Hootsuite | No, a 14-day trial | Standard $99 a user a month billed annually; monthly billing exists, its price isn't shown | Wisdom, its AI assistant, on every plan; posts and images generated with AI | Teams that also need an inbox and listening |
What about AI SEO tools?
SEO is its own job with its own tools, so it gets its own page: our guide to AI SEO tools prices 13 of them for one site, starting with Google Search Console at $0 and Ubersuggest at $12 a month, and includes a real keyword-to-brief run.
The AI already inside Meta and Google Ads
If you run ads, two AI marketing tools are already in your ad accounts. Neither page we read lists a separate fee; you pay for the ads.
| # | Tool | Where it lives | What the AI does | Watch out |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 17 | Meta Advantage+ | Ads Manager | Applies AI to audience, placement and budget; Advantage+ creative generates and enhances ad variations in image, video and carousel formats | Meta says some enhancements may be on by default; you can turn them off |
| 18 | Google Performance Max | Google Ads | Serves one campaign across Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail and Maps; generates headlines, descriptions and images from your website | If you provide no video, one may be created from your other assets after you publish |
Both companies put the review on you. Google says advertisers should check generated assets for accuracy before publishing, and Meta recommends approving the previews before ads go live.
AI for marketing analytics and reports
Google Analytics is free and already writes some of your report. Its Analytics Intelligence features flag unusual changes on their own, let you set up to 50 custom insights per property, and show AI overviews in plain language on the Home page and in detail reports (Analytics Insights, AI overviews).
| # | Tool | Free plan | What the AI does | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 19 | Google Analytics | Free | Automated and custom insights, AI overviews of what changed | Every business with a website |
For a weekly report that pulls ad, email and analytics exports together, a step-by-step workflow is in Claude Code for marketers.
We ran three marketing jobs in Claude Code
A general AI model can also do marketing jobs end to end, if you give it the facts and the limits. On October 27, 2026, we gave Claude Code three real jobs for Quillwind Yoga, a made-up studio, and checked every line: an ad campaign for Meta and Google, a 5-email welcome sequence, and a 2-week social calendar written from one blog post.
Method: Claude Haiku 5.5 through the Claude Code CLI 2.1.303, run headless (from the command line, with no chat window) from an empty folder, with every tool off. A system prompt held the brand voice and six rules, such as using only the facts in the brief and no exclamation marks; each brief was the only message. The length limits came from Meta's Ads Guide (primary text 50 to 150 characters and a 27-character headline for Facebook Feed images, both recommendations) and Google's help page on responsive search ads (headlines 30, descriptions 90, paths 15).
claude -p "$BRIEF" --model claude-haiku-5-5 --tools "" --strict-mcp-config --setting-sources "" --no-session-persistence --disable-slash-commands --effort low --system-prompt "$(cat system.txt)" --output-format json < /dev/null
| Check | Ads (5 Meta, 1 Google ad) | 5 welcome emails | 10 social posts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Length limits met | 31 of 31 | 15 of 15 | 20 of 20 |
| Invented claims | 0 | 1 | 0 |
| Exact duplicates | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Dashes, "!", emojis, hype words | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Format problems | 0 | 1 (answer wrapped in a code fence) | 8 (caption left out its hook) |
| Time | 22.1 s | 19.0 s | 21.2 s |
| Cost the CLI reports | $0.0026 | $0.0021 | $0.0029 |
of 66 length limits met on the first try
invented claim: teachers who "will guide you at a calm pace"
problems in total to fix before publishing
for all three runs at API list price
Our run on October 27, 2026, one run per job, checked by script and by hand. Log in research/tests/best-ai-marketing-tools-2026-10-27.

What the numbers say:
- Limits were the easy part. Every headline, description, subject line and hook fit, which saves the dull counting.
- The one invented claim was small and believable. "A calm pace" reads naturally, so only someone who knows the facts would catch it.
- The rest was format. One answer came wrapped in a code block and 8 captions didn't start with their hook, both quick to fix by hand.
- What it left to us: none of the 4 Meta ads that show the $39 price states that the pass is for first-time students only (a Google headline does), and across the jobs the model listed 4 missing facts instead of inventing them, such as whether the pass must be bought by November 30.
This is a do-it-yourself option next to the paid tools, not a replacement for every one. Claude Code wrote the copy, but it didn't send the emails, schedule the posts or launch the ads; Klaviyo or Mailchimp, Buffer and the ad managers still do that. You need a paid Claude plan for Claude Code (from Pro at $20 a month), and the $0.0076 is the CLI's own figure at API list price, not a bill. To try it, give Claude your facts and the limits in one brief:
You write ads for [BUSINESS]. Use only these facts: [OFFER, PRICE, DATES, CONDITIONS, ADDRESS]. If a fact is missing, list it under "missing" instead of guessing.
Write 5 Meta ad variants for Facebook Feed: primary text of 50 to 150 characters and a headline of at most 27.
Write one Google responsive search ad: 15 different headlines of at most 30 characters, 4 descriptions of at most 90, and two paths of at most 15.
Mention [THE MAIN CONDITION, FOR EXAMPLE FIRST-TIME CUSTOMERS ONLY] in at least half the variants. No exclamation marks, no dashes. Count characters including spaces. The free AI marketing stack
You can cover every job on this page for $0 if you stay inside the free limits:

Where our AI marketing course fits
ai school sells an AI marketing course, in early access (pre-order), that teaches AI photos and video ads, including with Higgsfield from the video table, and automations for leads, email and social. We used Claude Code for the test above and teach it in our Claude Code course, and I build AI systems and automations for businesses. Read this page with that in mind: it's why our courses aren't in the tables and nothing here is ranked. If one of the paid tools above does your job better, use it.
Quick check0 of 2 correct
You run Meta ads and want AI-written ad variations. What does it cost on top of the ads?
Not quite.
Advantage+ is built into Ads Manager. Meta notes that some creative enhancements may be on by default, so check the previews.
In our Claude Code test, what was the most common problem?
Not quite.
8 of 10 captions didn't start with their hook. All 66 length limits were met, and the only invented claim was one line about teaching pace.
What to do next
Pick the one marketing job that takes you the most time each week and find its table above. Start on that tool's free plan, or run the ad prompt above in Claude with your real offer, and read every claim against your brief before anything goes live. When the free limit starts to pinch, pay for that one tool, and leave the rest free.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI marketing tool?
There is no single best AI marketing tool, because each one does one job well. For most small businesses the strongest start is a writing assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT ($20 a month on monthly billing), Canva for images, and the AI already inside their email, scheduling and ad platforms.
Are there free AI tools for marketing?
Yes. On October 27, 2026, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini had free plans, Canva Free included up to 20 AI uses, Buffer Free covered 3 channels with its AI Assistant, Klaviyo Free covered 250 profiles with an AI subject line generator, HubSpot Free included Breeze Assistant, and Google Analytics was free.
Can ChatGPT or Claude replace marketing software?
For writing, often yes; for running campaigns, no. In our test Claude Haiku 5.5 wrote ads, five emails and a social calendar inside every length limit, but it can't send an email, publish a post or spend an ad budget, so you still need an email platform, a scheduler and the ad managers.
Do Meta and Google charge extra for their AI ad tools?
The Meta Advantage+ and Google Performance Max pages we read list no separate fee: the AI comes with the ad platform and you pay for the ads. Meta notes that some Advantage+ creative enhancements may be on by default, so check the previews before you publish.
Should I publish AI marketing copy without checking it?
No. In our run one of the five emails told readers the teachers 'will guide you at a calm pace', which the brief never said, and Google's own help page asks advertisers to review generated assets for accuracy before publishing. Read every claim against your real offer.
