Ramp MCP

Analyze company spend, approve requests and handle expenses in Ramp from Claude.

Officialby RampHosted, nothing to installChecked October 18, 2026

Ramp's hosted MCP server lets Claude search transactions, pull spend exports and query vendors, bills, cards and reimbursements, with every action limited to what your Ramp role allows. Admins can also approve or reject requests and fix transaction coding, while employees can check their cards, submit expenses and get policy answers.

Who it is for

  • Finance and accounting teams
  • Founders and operators managing company spend
  • Employees who use Ramp cards

Prompts to try

Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.

Prompt 1
Which departments spent the most on software last quarter, and which vendors drove it?
Prompt 2
List the reimbursements waiting for my approval and flag any that look out of policy.
Prompt 3
How much is left on my Ramp card limits this month?

How to connect it

In Claude Code

  1. claude mcp add --transport http ramp https://mcp.ramp.com/mcp

In the Claude desktop app

Customize > Connectors > Discover: search Ramp, then select Connect to Claude

Hosted address: https://mcp.ramp.com/mcp

Good to know

To try it on sample data, use https://demo-mcp.ramp.com/mcp instead. Admins decide who may connect under Company > Integrations > Ramp MCP.

How we checked it

Checked Ramp's developer docs and help center article for Ramp MCP and its Claude directory listing (made by Ramp, added November 2025); the production and demo endpoints answer with OAuth challenges, and the older open-source ramp_mcp repo is archived.
