Google Calendar MCP Server

Check your schedule, search events and find open meeting times in Google Calendar.

Officialby GoogleHosted, nothing to installChecked October 18, 2026

Google's hosted Calendar server gives Claude your calendars and events so it can answer questions about meetings, attendees and free time, and suggest slots that work across several calendars. The server also has tools to create, change and delete events, but Claude's directory connector is currently documented as read-only.

Who it is for

  • Busy professionals who live in Google Calendar
  • Assistants and operations staff who coordinate meetings
  • Founders planning their week

Prompts to try

Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.

Prompt 1
What does my Thursday look like, and where is my longest free block?
Prompt 2
Who is invited to the budget review next week, and has everyone accepted?
Prompt 3
Find three 45-minute openings next week that avoid my existing meetings.

How to connect it

In Claude Code

  1. claude mcp add --transport http --client-id YOUR_OAUTH_CLIENT_ID --client-secret --callback-port 8080 google-calendar https://calendarmcp.googleapis.com/mcp/v1

In the Claude desktop app

Customize > Connectors > Discover: search Google Calendar, then select Connect to Claude

Hosted address: https://calendarmcp.googleapis.com/mcp/v1

Good to know

Simplest Claude Code path: connect Google Calendar in claude.ai and it appears under /mcp; the direct command needs your own Google Cloud OAuth client.

How we checked it

Checked Google's Calendar MCP setup guide (Developer Preview, updated 2026-10-12), Claude's Calendar connector page and the directory listing; the endpoint lists 9 tools and requires Google OAuth for tool calls.
