Bird MCP

Send email, SMS and WhatsApp messages and run voice and passcode flows through Bird.

Officialby BirdHosted or on your computerChecked October 18, 2026

Bird, the company formerly known as MessageBird, hosts an MCP server that lets Claude send and inspect email, SMS and WhatsApp messages, run one-time passcode checks and prepare voice calls from one login. It also handles setup work such as sending domains, SMS sender registration, phone numbers, templates and contact audiences.

Who it is for

  • Developers adding messaging to their apps
  • Businesses that reach customers on WhatsApp and SMS
  • Growth teams managing email deliverability

Prompts to try

Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.

Prompt 1
Send a WhatsApp template message to +15555550123 confirming tomorrow's appointment.
Prompt 2
Check why my last batch of SMS messages to US numbers failed.
Prompt 3
Set up a sending domain for mail.mybrand.com and show me the DNS records to add.

How to connect it

In Claude Code

  1. claude mcp add --transport http bird https://mcp.bird.com

In the Claude desktop app

Customize > Connectors > Discover: search Bird, then select Connect to Claude

Hosted address: https://mcp.bird.com

Good to know

How we checked it

Checked Bird's MCP server docs, the messagebird/bird-ai repo, the official MCP registry entry (com.bird/mcp, updated 2026-10-16) and the Bird listing in Claude's connectors directory; the hosted endpoint answers with an OAuth challenge.
