Stripe MCP
Manage Stripe customers, payments, subscriptions and invoices, and search Stripe docs.
Officialby StripeHosted or on your computerChecked October 18, 2026
Stripe's MCP server lets Claude read and change data in your Stripe account, including customers, payments, refunds, subscriptions, invoices and payment links, and it can search Stripe's documentation. You connect with OAuth or an agent API key, choose live mode or sandboxes, and Stripe asks a person to approve sensitive actions such as refunds before they run.
Who it is for
- Founders and small businesses that sell with Stripe
- Developers building Stripe integrations
- Finance and support staff handling refunds and invoices
Prompts to try
Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.

In Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http stripe https://mcp.stripe.com/
In the Claude desktop app
Customize > Connectors > Discover: search Stripe, then select Connect to Claude
Hosted address: https://mcp.stripe.com
Good to know
Run /mcp in Claude Code to sign in with OAuth. From December 2026 the hosted server accepts only OAuth or agent API keys, not regular secret or restricted keys. A local package also exists: npx -y @stripe/mcp with a restricted key.

How we checked it
Checked Stripe's MCP docs, the stripe/ai GitHub repo (MIT, local server folder last changed April 2026), the npm package @stripe/mcp, the MCP registry entry (com.stripe/mcp) and the Claude connectors directory listing; the hosted endpoint answers with an OAuth challenge.
