Shopify's official connector lets Claude manage a store you own: products, collections, inventory and percentage discount codes, plus read-only views of orders, customers and analytics. It can also generate a storefront preview and turn it into a new store, and it asks for confirmation before changing store data through the Admin API.

Good to know
Works with one store at a time. It cannot edit the live theme, issue refunds or change payments, taxes or domains. To lower its access level later, uninstall and reconnect.

Checked Shopify's help center pages on connecting AI tools and on the Shopify connector for Claude, plus the Claude connectors directory listing (made by Shopify); the hosted endpoint answers an MCP initialize request and lists its tools, with store access granted through OAuth.
