Meta Ads MCP

Report on, create and manage Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns from Claude.

Officialby MetaHosted, nothing to installChecked October 18, 2026

Meta's own hosted MCP server, part of its Ads AI Connectors, lets Claude read performance data and build or edit campaigns, ad sets, ads, catalogs and custom audiences in the ad accounts you manage. New campaigns, ad sets and ads are created paused, and nothing spends until one is activated.

Who it is for

  • Small business owners running Facebook and Instagram ads
  • Performance marketers and media buyers
  • Agencies managing several ad accounts

Prompts to try

Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.

Prompt 1
Summarize spend, cost per result and ROAS by campaign for the last 14 days and flag anything unusual.
Prompt 2
Draft a paused traffic campaign for our spring sale with two ad sets for women aged 25 to 45 in Texas.
Prompt 3
Search the Ad Library for active ads from our three main competitors and describe their offers.

How to connect it

In Claude Code

  1. claude mcp add --transport http --client-id YOUR_META_APP_ID meta-ads https://mcp.facebook.com/ads

In the Claude desktop app

Customize > Connectors > Discover: search Meta Ads, then select Connect to Claude

Hosted address: https://mcp.facebook.com/ads

Good to know

Meta's documented Claude Code command uses your own Meta app ID; without an app, connect through Claude's connectors directory instead. Sign in with Facebook Login for Business and approve the ads permissions.

How we checked it

Checked Meta's developer docs for the Ads MCP server (overview, get-started and tool reference pages) and its Claude connectors directory listing; the endpoint answers with an OAuth challenge that lists Meta ads scopes.
