OpenSEO MCP

Open-source SEO suite for keyword research, rank tracking, audits and AI visibility.

Officialby OpenSEO (Every App)Hosted, nothing to installChecked October 18, 2026

OpenSEO is an open-source SEO suite built as a lower-cost option next to Semrush or Ahrefs, and its hosted MCP server gives Claude more than 40 tools for keyword research, SERP and competitor analysis, rank tracking, site audits, local SEO, AI visibility and Search Console data. You can use the $10 per month hosted plan with usage credits or self-host it with your own DataForSEO API key.

Who it is for

  • Budget-conscious small businesses
  • Freelance SEOs and small agencies
  • Claude Code users who want an SEO toolkit they control

Prompts to try

Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.

Prompt 1
Set up a project for my plumbing business website and find local keywords I could rank for in Denver.
Prompt 2
Estimate what it would cost to track these 30 keywords, then create the rank tracker.
Prompt 3
Audit my site, give me a prioritized fix list and save it as a report.

How we checked it

Checked the every-app/open-seo repo (MIT, about 23,900 stars, release v0.1.13 on 2026-10-14), OpenSEO's MCP docs and pricing page, and its Claude connectors directory listing; the hosted endpoint answers with an OAuth challenge.
