Grafana Labs runs a hosted MCP server for Grafana Cloud with OAuth sign-in, and it also publishes the open-source mcp-grafana server that you run yourself against any Grafana instance with a service account token. Both let Claude search dashboards, run PromQL and LogQL queries, and work with alerts, incidents and on-call schedules.

In Claude Code

Customize > Connectors > Discover: search Grafana Cloud, then select Connect to Claude

Good to know

The hosted server is for Grafana Cloud only; for self-hosted Grafana run uvx mcp-grafana with GRAFANA_URL and GRAFANA_SERVICE_ACCOUNT_TOKEN set.
