Netlify MCP Server
Create, deploy and manage Netlify sites, forms, extensions and environment variables.
Officialby NetlifyHosted or on your computerChecked October 18, 2026
Netlify's official MCP server lets Claude create projects, deploy sites and change settings in your Netlify account through the Netlify API and CLI. Netlify recommends the hosted server and keeps a local npm package as a fallback for networks that block remote connections.
Who it is for
- Non-developers publishing sites built with Claude Code
- Frontend developers
- Agencies managing many client sites
Prompts to try
Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.
Deploy the site in this folder to a new Netlify project and give me the live URL.Turn on form submissions for my contact-page project.Add an environment variable called API_BASE_URL to my portfolio site and redeploy it.How to connect it
In Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http netlify https://netlify-mcp.netlify.app/mcp
In the Claude desktop app
Customize > Connectors > Discover: search Netlify, then select Connect to Claude
Hosted address: https://netlify-mcp.netlify.app/mcp
Good to know
If remote servers are blocked, run the local package instead: claude mcp add netlify -- npx -y @netlify/mcp (needs Node.js 22+).

How we checked it
Checked Netlify's MCP docs and Claude Code setup guide (updated 2026-07), the netlify/netlify-mcp repo (release mcp-v1.19.0 on 2026-10-13, ISC in package.json) and the Claude directory listing; the hosted endpoint answers with an OAuth challenge.
