Sentry MCP Server

Search Sentry errors, read stack traces and get AI root-cause analysis in Claude.

Officialby SentryHosted or on your computerChecked October 18, 2026

Sentry's MCP server connects Claude to your Sentry organization so it can find issues, pull stack traces and events, and help you fix bugs right where you write code. The hosted version signs in with OAuth, and a local stdio package that takes an auth token covers self-hosted Sentry.

Who it is for

  • Developers fixing production bugs
  • Founders who built an app and want to see what is breaking
  • Support and QA teams triaging errors

Prompts to try

Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.

Prompt 1
Show me the five most frequent unresolved errors in my web project this week.
Prompt 2
Open issue WEB-1234, explain the stack trace and suggest a code fix.
Prompt 3
Run Seer on the newest checkout error and summarize the root cause it finds.

How to connect it

In Claude Code

  1. claude mcp add --transport http sentry https://mcp.sentry.dev/mcp

In the Claude desktop app

Customize > Connectors > Discover: search Sentry, then select Connect to Claude

Hosted address: https://mcp.sentry.dev/mcp

Good to know

Run /mcp to sign in; add /ORG_SLUG/PROJECT_SLUG to the URL to scope it to one project, or use npx @sentry/mcp-server with an access token for self-hosted Sentry.

How we checked it

Checked Sentry's MCP site, the getsentry/sentry-mcp repo (now getsentry/toolkit, FSL license, last server commit 2026-10-08), the npm package @sentry/mcp-server and the Claude directory listing; the endpoint answers with an OAuth challenge.
