Firebase MCP Server
Manage Firebase projects, Firestore, Auth, Crashlytics and deploys from Claude.
Officialby Google (Firebase)Runs on your computerChecked October 18, 2026
The Firebase MCP server is built into the Firebase CLI and lets Claude set up projects, work with Firestore and Auth, and deploy apps using the same login as the CLI. Its tools are grouped by product, from Crashlytics and Remote Config to Cloud Messaging, and you can load only the groups you need.
Who it is for
- App builders who use Firebase as a backend
- Mobile and web developers
- Makers shipping prototypes with Claude Code
Prompts to try
Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.

In Claude Code
claude mcp add firebase npx -- -y firebase-tools@latest mcp
In the Claude desktop app
Add this to claude_desktop_config.json, then restart the app:
{
"mcpServers": {
"firebase": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"firebase-tools@latest",
"mcp"
]
}
}
}Good to know
Sign in with firebase login (or use Application Default Credentials) first; the --only flag limits which tool groups load.

How we checked it
Checked Firebase's MCP docs (updated 2026-10-13), the firebase-tools repo (MIT, release v15.34.0 on 2026-10-15, MCP code changed 2026-10-10) and the registry entry io.github.firebase/firebase-mcp.
