Datadog MCP Server

Search Datadog logs, metrics, traces, monitors and incidents from Claude.

Officialby DatadogHosted, nothing to installChecked October 18, 2026

Datadog's hosted MCP server lets Claude query your telemetry with your own Datadog permissions, from logs and metrics to APM traces, monitors and incidents. A core toolset is on by default, and you can switch on product toolsets such as APM or Agent Observability with a URL parameter.

Who it is for

  • SRE and on-call engineers
  • Developers investigating production incidents
  • Teams already running Datadog

Prompts to try

Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.

Prompt 1
Show me error logs for the checkout service in the last 30 minutes, grouped by message.
Prompt 2
Which monitors are alerting right now, and what changed shortly before they fired?
Prompt 3
What is the p95 latency by endpoint for the payments service over the last hour?

How to connect it

In Claude Code

  1. claude mcp add --transport http datadog-mcp https://mcp.datadoghq.com/v1/mcp

In the Claude desktop app

Customize > Connectors > Discover: search Datadog, then select Connect to Claude

Hosted address: https://mcp.datadoghq.com/v1/mcp

Good to know

Use your Datadog site's endpoint (for example https://mcp.datadoghq.eu/v1/mcp); add ?toolsets=all to turn on every generally available toolset.

How we checked it

Checked Datadog's MCP overview, setup and tools docs (modified 2026-10-09 to 2026-10-16), the per-site endpoints listed in the docs and the Claude directory listing; the US1 endpoint answers with HTTP 401 until you sign in.
