ClickHouse MCP Server
Run read-only SQL on ClickHouse Cloud or self-hosted ClickHouse and check costs.
Officialby ClickHouseHosted or on your computerChecked October 18, 2026
ClickHouse runs a hosted MCP server for ClickHouse Cloud that lets Claude list databases and tables, run read-only SELECT queries, and check services, backups, ClickPipes and organization costs. For self-hosted clusters or the embedded chDB engine, the open-source mcp-clickhouse package runs locally and keeps queries read-only unless you turn on writes.
Who it is for
- Analysts working with ClickHouse data
- Engineers running ClickHouse Cloud
- Teams keeping an eye on cloud spend
Prompts to try
Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.
What databases and tables are on my production service? What is the average session duration by country over the last 7 days?Show my organization's daily ClickHouse Cloud cost for the first half of this month. How to connect it
In Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http clickhouse-cloud https://mcp.clickhouse.cloud/mcp
In the Claude desktop app
Customize > Connectors > Discover: search ClickHouse, then select Connect to Claude
Hosted address: https://mcp.clickhouse.cloud/mcp
Good to know
Turn on Connect with MCP for each service in the ClickHouse Cloud console first; for self-hosted ClickHouse run the mcp-clickhouse package with uv instead.

How we checked it
Checked ClickHouse's remote MCP docs, its listing in Claude's connectors directory, the ClickHouse/mcp-clickhouse repo (Apache-2.0, release v0.7.0, last commit 2026-10) and the PyPI package; the hosted endpoint answers with an OAuth challenge.
