Parallel Search MCP

Free web search and page fetching with no account or API key needed.

Officialby ParallelHosted, nothing to installChecked October 18, 2026

Parallel's Search MCP is a free hosted server that gives Claude web search and page fetching without an account, API key or sign-up. Results come back as compact excerpts with source links, and connecting a Parallel account raises the rate limits for heavier use.

Who it is for

  • Beginners who want web search with zero setup
  • Coding agents checking current documentation
  • Hobby and personal projects

Prompts to try

Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.

Prompt 1
Use Parallel to check the latest stable Python release and link its release notes.
Prompt 2
Search for three recent reviews of the Framework Laptop and summarize the pros and cons.
Prompt 3
Read this terms of service page and list everything it says about refunds.

How to connect it

In Claude Code

  1. claude mcp add --transport http "Parallel-Search-MCP" https://search.parallel.ai/mcp

In the Claude desktop app

Customize > Connectors > Discover: search Parallel Search, then select Connect to Claude

Hosted address: https://search.parallel.ai/mcp

Good to know

Anonymous searches run in fast mode with lower rate limits; https://search.parallel.ai/mcp-oauth signs in with your Parallel account.

How we checked it

Checked Parallel's Search MCP docs, its public GitHub home repo (last commit 2026-10-05), the registry entry under ai.parallel and the Claude connectors listing; the hosted endpoint lists web_search and web_fetch without authentication.
