Excalidraw MCP
Have Claude sketch hand-drawn diagrams you can edit in the chat and share.
Officialby ExcalidrawHosted or on your computerChecked October 18, 2026
Excalidraw's MCP server draws hand-drawn style diagrams that stream into the conversation as an interactive view you can open full screen and edit. When a sketch is ready, Claude can upload it to excalidraw.com and hand you a shareable link.
Who it is for
- Founders and teachers explaining ideas visually
- Product and engineering teams sketching flows and architectures
- Anyone who wants a quick diagram without opening a design tool
Prompts to try
Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.
Draw a diagram of how a customer order moves from our website to the warehouse and on to delivery.Sketch an architecture diagram: a mobile app calls our API, which talks to a database and a payment provider.Turn this list of course modules into a visual roadmap and give me a shareable Excalidraw link. How to connect it
In Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http excalidraw https://mcp.excalidraw.com/mcp
In the Claude desktop app
Customize > Connectors > Discover: search Excalidraw, then select Connect to Claude

Good to know

How we checked it
Checked the excalidraw/excalidraw-mcp repo (MIT per its README, last commit 2026-03, release v0.3.2) and its listing in Claude's connectors directory, and called the hosted endpoint, which answered without authentication and listed five tools.
