Composio MCP

Hosted gateway that lets Claude find, connect and use tools from 1,000+ apps.

Officialby ComposioHosted, nothing to installChecked October 18, 2026

Composio's hosted MCP server connects Claude to more than 1,000 apps, such as Gmail, Slack, GitHub and Linear, through a small set of meta-tools instead of thousands of separate tools. Claude searches for the right action, asks you to approve each app through managed OAuth, runs one or many actions and can process large results in a remote sandbox.

Who it is for

  • Claude Code users who want many apps behind one connection
  • Developers prototyping AI agents
  • Ops teams automating cross-app chores

Prompts to try

Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.

Prompt 1
Turn the latest merged GitHub PR into a Linear issue and announce it in #dev on Slack.
Prompt 2
Count how many emails I got from each customer domain this month in Gmail.
Prompt 3
Draft a Google Doc from tomorrow's calendar event with the attendee list.

How to connect it

In Claude Code

  1. claude mcp add --transport http composio https://connect.composio.dev/mcp

In the Claude desktop app

Customize > Connectors > + Add > Add custom connector, URL: https://connect.composio.dev/mcp

Hosted address: https://connect.composio.dev/mcp

Good to know

Run /mcp to sign in; Claude then shares an OAuth link the first time it needs each app.

How we checked it

Checked Composio's MCP server README and its plugin repo (ComposioHQ/composio-mcp-plugin), the setup instructions served at connect.composio.dev, Composio's MCP docs and the official MCP registry entry (io.github.ComposioHQ/composio, updated 2026-06-30); the hosted endpoint answers with an OAuth challenge.
