Browserbase MCP
Control cloud browsers with plain-language actions powered by Stagehand.
Officialby BrowserbaseHosted, nothing to installChecked October 18, 2026
Browserbase runs browsers in the cloud, and its hosted MCP server lets Claude open a session, visit pages and act on them with plain-language instructions through the Stagehand framework. A default Gemini model is built in, so a Browserbase API key is all you need, and options such as proxies and verified mode help on sites that block automated traffic.
Who it is for
- Developers building browser agents
- Teams that need many browsers running in parallel
- Automations that should not run on your own computer
Prompts to try
Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.
Open the airline's flight status page and tell me whether flight UA 123 is on time.Go to this product listing and extract the name, price and stock status of every item on the first page.Open the job posting, click Apply and tell me which fields the form asks for.How to connect it
In Claude Code

Good to know
The open-source self-host repo was archived in July 2026; Browserbase recommends the hosted endpoint.

How we checked it
Checked Browserbase's MCP setup docs, its March 2026 changelog entry and August 2026 blog post about the hosted server, and the archived self-host repo; the hosted endpoint answers the initialize request.
