Bright Data MCP

Search and scrape public web pages through Bright Data's unblocking network.

Officialby Bright DataHosted or on your computerChecked October 18, 2026

Bright Data's official server sends every search and scrape through its unblocking network, which deals with bot detection, CAPTCHAs and geo-restrictions on Claude's behalf. Beyond plain scraping it offers more than 1,200 pre-built scrapers for sites like Amazon, LinkedIn and TikTok, a remote browser for interactive pages, and a free tier of 5,000 requests a month.

Who it is for

  • E-commerce and pricing analysts
  • Marketing teams tracking brands and competitors
  • Agents that keep getting blocked on protected sites

Prompts to try

Once it is connected, ask in plain words. Claude decides when to use the server and asks before it changes anything important.

Prompt 1
Check what this blender costs on Amazon, Walmart and Target today and tell me where it is cheapest.
Prompt 2
Pull the five most recent posts from this TikTok account with their view counts.
Prompt 3
Ask ChatGPT and Perplexity for the best CRM for small agencies and check whether our brand is mentioned.

How to connect it

In Claude Code

  1. claude mcp add --transport http brightdata "https://mcp.brightdata.com/mcp?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN"

In the Claude desktop app

Customize > Connectors > + Add > Add custom connector, URL: https://mcp.brightdata.com/mcp?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN

Hosted address: https://mcp.brightdata.com/mcp

Good to know

Add &groups=scrapers, browser (or another group list) to the URL to load fewer tools; the URL without a token also supports OAuth sign-in.

How we checked it

Checked the GitHub repo (MIT, release v3.1.0 on 2026-10-15), the @brightdata/mcp npm package and Bright Data's OAuth docs; the hosted endpoint answers with an OAuth challenge and also takes an API token in the URL.
